We are a brokerage, not a government agency

Clear Healthcare Choice is an independent insurance brokerage. We are not a government agency. We are not the Health Insurance Marketplace, healthcare.gov, or any state exchange, and we are not affiliated with or endorsed by Medicare, Medicaid or the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services.

If a subsidised marketplace plan or Medicaid is the better option for your household, our advisors are expected to tell you so.

The figures on this site are examples

The $750 and $300 monthly figures, the deductible, copay, out-of-pocket and coinsurance values in the comparison table, and every number produced by the savings explorer are examples that show how coverage types differ. They are not rates, quotations, estimates, or offers.

Actual premiums, deductibles, benefits, networks and availability vary by age, state, household size, health history, carrier and the specific plan selected. Only a licensed advisor, working with a carrier, can tell you what applies to you.

The review form does not determine eligibility

The five questions on this site collect enough information for a licensed advisor to begin a review. They do not perform underwriting, do not generate an automated match, and do not determine whether you qualify for any plan.

Private PPO plans are medically underwritten. Approval is not guaranteed and health history affects both eligibility and price.

Plan types

The plans our advisors place are insurance products issued by licensed carriers. They are generally not ACA-qualifying major medical plans, which is why they can be medically underwritten and offered outside open enrollment. They are not discount plans and not health care sharing ministries.

Because they are not ACA-qualifying plans, they may not cover all of the ten essential health benefits. Maternity coverage in particular is commonly excluded or limited. Your advisor will identify exclusions that matter for your household before you apply.

Carriers

Our licensed advisors work with carriers including Allstate Health Solutions, UnitedHealthcare, Aetna, Cigna, Ameritas, Manhattan Life. Carrier and plan availability varies by state.

Listing a carrier is not a statement that it is available to you, that it will approve you, or that any specific benefit or premium applies. Carrier names and logos are the property of their respective owners.

Testimonials and scenarios

Any member stories shown on this site are labelled as sample scenarios. They describe the kinds of situations our advisors handle; they are not statements by named customers and are not a guarantee of any outcome.

We do not display review-platform ratings we have not earned.

Licensing

Coverage is placed by licensed insurance advisors in the state where the applicant resides. Licensing details are available on request.

Compensation

When a plan is placed, the carrier pays a commission. That is how an independent brokerage is paid, and it is why our advisors are instructed to name the better option even when it earns nothing — a household steered into the wrong plan does not stay a client.

You are never charged a fee by us for a coverage review.
